                            WHY CHOOSE THE HRSB

The Human Resource Service Bureau leverages HR and Internet based technologies to provide comprehensive and reliable employee processing to small and medium sized organizations at a reasonable price.

Affordable Self-Service

It would be expensive for a small or even a medium sized company to implement self-service.  Such systems originally cost up to $10,000,000 for the first large companies to develop and deploy.  Now, the HRSB makes self-service readily affordable for smaller companies.  In effect, the clients band together to gain the advantages usually reserved for only the largest companies.  For more information, a brochure or a demonstration please contact us at the HRSB.

From the Executive's Viewpoint

The HRSB has powerful appeal to executives offering these critical features.

  •  Significant improvement over current practices.

  •  An  easy-to-use process for employees and managers.

  •  Implementation according to customer requirements.

  •  Updating to accommodate future legislation.

  •  An evolving product, based on client input.

  •  Administration of processes by HR experts.

  •  On-going support from HR consultants.

 Operational Benefits

  •  Secured access to employee data.

  •  Standard reports and easy to use report writer.

  •  A single stream of data from the organization.

  •  For those without a PC, it can be offered in a plant, lobby, or designated office.

  •  Operation of the environment including backup and recovery.

  •  Interfacing to common payroll systems.

What about an HRIS?

You could buy and install an HR Information System (HRIS) yourself, or perhaps you already have one.  However, an HRIS only offers a partial solution, since most only perform half of the required processing, so you still have to do the rest manually  See HR Systems Limitations.

With an HRIS you have to pay for the hardware, and set-up the software yourself, or pay consultants to do so.  Then you have to maintain and administer it yourself.  It could end up costing up to six times the software's initial expense.  Even after this effort, most companies use less than 70% of the systems capabilities, leaving potential savings wasted.

We at the HRSB will do it all for you.  We analyze your requirements and implement the system on our secure servers.  Then we maintain the software and best of all we perform all the time consuming administration.

Added Value

The HRSB adds value for an organization by:

  •  saving time and money

  •  increasing profits,

  •  allowing a company to focus on its   business,

  •  assuring compliance, and

  •  increasing employee loyalty.

The following examples demonstrate how the HRSB fulfills each of these goals.

Time Savings

A major benefit of the HRSB will be to reduce the time spent by HR staff, managers and employees.  One large HR vendor found that managers saved almost 110 hours while employees saved about 10 hours a year dealing with HR issues.  A large Enterprise Resource Systems vendor compiled similar results.  For a 100-employee company with 10 managers, this is equivalent to one full-time person (2,000 hours).  This savings alone would warrant the HRSB.

Dollar Savings

Many of the processes that the HRSB operates will save money for the organization.  An example is carrier reporting.  As healthcare costs escalate, companies of all sizes are paying more for health and welfare insurance than they should due to inaccurate record keeping.  In performing the Benefits Requirements Study at TRW, we estimated that TRW paid more than a million dollars a year in premiums that they should not have paid.  This savings paid for the benefits system in less than two years.

When you hire the HRSB, the organization is adding the expertise of a HR Systems professional, a HR manager, and a technical expert.  A small enterprise could not normally afford to hire all these professionals.   Best of all you only pay for the time you need from these professionals, and you acquire the efficiencies of a large corporation, while only paying for a portion of the expense.

Profitability

Many of the processes offered by the HRSB will help the organization manage its human capital more efficiently.  Studies of large corporations by Watson Wyatt Worldwide show that improving Human Resources led to a 30% improvement in profitability.  The four areas with the most contributions to profits were:

  • Recruiting

  • Performance management

  • Communications integrity

  • Collegial and flexible workplace

The HRSB improves all four of these areas.
