Time off whether it is vacation, sick, or personal is important in keeping an organizations employees creative, motivated and productive.  It is also important for the company to be competitive, to be humane, and in the retention of employees, thereby avoiding high replacement costs.

Employees will accrue sick time, vacation time, personal time and paid time off according to the organization's rules.  An employee may request time off through the Employee Portal, which will be sent to the supervisor for approval.  Employees will see time off accruals, time taken and balances on-line.

For vacation planning purposes, employees can see how much time they will have available at a future date.

The HRSB will also records leaves of absence and Family Medical Leave (FMLA).
